Mrs. Luna

Mrs. Amanda Luna was born and raised in Santa Barbara and has dedicated most of her career to working with young children. Amanda graduated from CSU Channel Islands with a degree in Psychology in 2012. Soon after graduation she started working at Girls Inc and realized her passion for working with youth was going to be something to pursue further. Amanda enrolled herself into Santa Barbara City College where she obtained her Early Childhood Education (ECE) units which then led her to employment at Little Angels Preschool in Santa Barbara.

Amanda worked at Little Angels for several years before she began to see a gap for children with certain disabilities or families undergoing particular hardships.

After working at Little Angels, Amanda started working at STAR of CA where she obtained her Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification and continued working with children who had diagnosed autism and or behavioral challenges.

In 2019 Amanda moved to the Santa Ynez Valley and started working at Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Preschool where she was a teacher for children ages 2.5 to 5 years old. It was then Amanda saw a real challenge for parents and families trying to find childcare in the Santa Ynez Valley and decided it was time to start her own daycare.

When Amanda is not teaching she enjoys, reading, cooking, spending time with family, gardening, and being outside in nature.
